Student Internship Opportunities
Combine business theory and hospitality/service industry practice at an early stage, the ideal start to a successful professional career. Depending on the area of your studies and our current projects, you can join us as an intern for business, sales or specialty marketing related training.
Through balanced exposure to theory and practice, you will gain both valuable know-how and project experience. Individual target agreements and a subsequent target achievement assessment will give you a very good idea of your personal development. To make sure that you receive a well-rounded internship experience with our company, you should allow for an internship of a minimum of three months.
Currently Water Fantaseas offers two types of internships for university students in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area. Depending on our current projects, internships will be either “for credit” which can apply to your studies (as accepted by your particular university) or will be “for pay.” You need to have completed your first year at college. We welcome internship applications year round.

Yacht Charter Agent
Job Description
Water Fantaseas is located in the heart of Miami Beach and we are currently looking for a motivated addition to our staff for the position of Yacht Charter Agent. We are looking for someone long-term, reliable and professional. This is a full time job of 40 hours per week.
Job duties will include assisting potential new clients through the sales process as well as following through on all other details of the event once booked. Through a combination of telephone conversations, internet communication and custom electronic proposals, Charter Agents should have the ability to develop rapport with clients and maintain strong working relationships, while ensuring that the customer receives superior service.
Charter Agents are expected to greet clients during the boarding of their charter at local (Miami / Fort Lauderdale area) dock locations. The working environment is that of a high-energy, fast-paced, small-business office.
Requirements & Previous Experience
A previous background in the travel and/ or event planning industries including sales and customer service duties can be beneficial as well as a familiarity of the local area.
Intermediate computer skills including proficient use of word processing and spreadsheet software are necessary. Software used includes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ACT.
Also excellent communication skills, including written and spoken English, are required.

First Mate
Job Description
Water Fantaseas is located in the heart of Miami Beach and we are currently looking for a motivated addition to our yacht crew for the position of First Mate. We are looking for someone long-term, reliable and professional. This is currently a part time job as “contract labor.”
Duties will include general maintenance of yachts within our charter fleet including but not limited to washing and waxing. More importantly, First Mates will be responsible for working onboard during half and full day charters while assisting the Captain with navigation of the vessel and overseeing safety of those onboard. As well, service/hospitality duties will include serving guests food & beverage provisions.
Requirements & Previous Experience
Previous experience on yachts is preferred; however, not necessary for those willing to learn. “Team Work” mentality is necessary and ability to follow instruction.
Excellent English communication skills are required, while bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
