I recently found myself re-reading something I wrote in 2008 for a Lutheran education publication in Australia – SchooLink:
A couple of takeaway quotes that still seem relevant today in 2017:
“The current challenge for Lutheran education is to grasp the opportunities offered by technology to teach what living in online communities in relationship with Jesus Christ means to the digital generations.” (maybe today I would change “online communities” to “globally connected communities”)
“The world is their stage now. We’ve developed for them the communication tools to give a global witness like no generation before. Let’s make footprints with our students.”
